We are looking for a professionally trained chef to join the development of our Badehotel, Nevlunghavn Gjestgiveri. Our team consists of guest-oriented, enthusiastic employees, who always ensure that our guests are pampered with delicious dishes. The kitchen is the beating heart of our hotel. Whether it concerns our hotel guests or guests from outside, as a chef you ensure that there is always a beautiful dining experience ready. You will have the chance to work with products from our own fish shop and the local farmers providing us with vegetables, meat, fruit and flowers. You will have the chance to put together your own team and develop concepts within the framework of a Norwegian Badehotel by the sea in beautiful surroundings.
• Starting March or April 2025 to September or October, with good opportunities for a permanent position if desired • Full-time contract in the above mentioned periode• Variable shifts• You work weekends and holidays
You are an enterprising, enthusiastic and passionate Chef who does not shy away from challenges and who pampers guests together with your team. You enjoy helping your team grow, improving the processes in the kitchen and the quality and you like a good and clear relationship with suppliers. Your satisfaction lies in fixing things together with your team; whether it is breakfast, a luxury custom lunch, a busy a la carte lunch or dinner, a wedding dinner or a large buffet! Just like us, you have a passion for hospitality and your heart also beats faster from delicious food and satisfied guests.
In addition, you have the following qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in a hotel or larger kitchen; • You have an eye for detail and take initiative;• You are stress-resistant;• Experience with purchasing and calculations and knowledge of the catering industry is a plus;• You are an enthusiastic team leader;• Interest in and experience in cooking with changing fresh local products.
A good chef is not only a professional, but also a creative mind, an organizer and a coach. Your job description consists of the following:
• You lead a team of approximately 12 professionals (including washing up), make schedules and hold performance reviews;• You ensure that your team develops and guide them in this;• You devise and calculate a new menu every month (you work with local seasonal products as much as possible);• A different monthly menu every month, with fish, meat and vegetarian as a choice and find the perfect balance between traditional dishes and the latest cooking trends (a special place for vegetables / healthy and tasty food)• Responsible for the development of a suitable kitchen as part of the growth of the hotel.

• Purchasing and ensuring that everything is in stock;• Consistent quality and presentation of the dishes;• That the cooperation with the service and other departments runs smoothly
