Job Description - Operations Coordinator

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Operations Coordinator to join our team to support our Palmerston North Office.

You will be responsible for supporting the team with coordinating and tracking jobs from start to finish. This includes estimating costs and monitoring the construction process. You will work across different business area's from Insurance Work, Facilities Maintenance and Planned projects.

This role will also see you helping to coordinate office admin tasks such as social events, fleet coordination, material stock control and supporting financial processing

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing of Scope of Works/Scoping Reports/Work Schedules
  • Calculation of Job costing for Insurance work
  • Communication with Clients/Sub-Contractors/Suppliers/Staff
  • Job Planning and Scheduling in conjunction with the team
  • Key stakeholder coordination.
  • Invoicing / Claims preparation and submission.
  • General office administration tasks.
  • Proven administrative skills with experience coordinating work and sub-contractor schedules.
  • Experience using job management and planning software and MS Office products.
  • Experience in pricing and job costings.
  • Construction industry experience preferred but not essential.
  • Exceptional communication ability via email and phone.
  • Ability to work at pace with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong customer relationship skills and capable of maintaining and building new customer relationships.
