Job Description

The Insight Analyst Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Insight Record Review, Clinical, and Coding Operations teams in order to facilitate the administrative components of case analysis for various record review services. Acts as a liaison between external parties such as hospitals, physicians, health plans, vendors, patients, and referral sources and Insight Record Review Team. Interacts with other internal clients such as client services, account managers, data analysts and healthcare data investigators. Primary duties may include but are not limited to, initiating and managing case workflow, review and handle protected health information, correspondence and other communications or information within the case tracking system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and tracks cases from the time of opening to the time medical records are received including verification and management of standard turn-around times on cases. %20
  • Creates medical records request letters and manages provider contact information %20
  • Process medical record submissions through various avenues %20
  • Performs the closing of cases and any necessary follow up actions %20
  • Internal and external communication %20
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and track cases from the time of opening to the time medical records are received including verification and management of standard turn-around times on cases
  • Create medical records request letters
  • Verify provider addresses
  • Close cases
  • Retrieve medical records, attach to correct case and assign to review teams
  • Triage client communications and redirect as necessary
  • Review and handle emails involving communication with providers, clients and/or other internal staff
  • Scan incoming mail from USPS, FedEx, USP etc.
  • Provide assistance to vendors with deliveries and visiting guests in the office
  • May manage the main phone line; answer questions from callers if possible, and/or transfer calls to appropriate person
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education / Training:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (i.e.,GED)

Business Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 year(s) experience within a healthcare related or healthcare claims industry preferred
  • Healthcare related credential preferred

Requirements

  • Strong communication and customer service skills including strong phone skills
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Ability to work independently but also as a member of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to multi task
  • Detail oriented
