DevOps Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Architecture and Automation:
   Design, maintain, and evolve architectures and automation for zero-downtime deployments.
2. Containerization with Docker:
   Work with Docker and Kubernetes to scale and monitor microservices.
3. CI/CD Pipeline Development:
   Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
   Use tools like Helm and GitLab CI to automate deployments.
   Work with our development teams to help them set up automation pipelines and solve problems.
4. Complex and Distributed Systems:
   Handle complex and distributed enterprise systems based on HCL 9.1 installed in cloud Kubernetes clusters.
   Ensure seamless integration and operation of these systems within the cloud environment.
5. Collaboration:
   Collaborate with other DevOps engineers to make the best solution possible.
   Participate in an on-call schedule and act in a server/technical support capacity to the team.

Core Qualifications and Education

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
2. 5+ years minimum hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
3. 4+ years of combined development and DevOps experience deploying and maintaining multi-tiered infrastructure and web applications in hybrid cloud platforms.
4. 5+ years of overall experience in IT.
5. Strong knowledge of multiple cloud platforms.
6. Ability to work with GitHub and GitHub actions.
7. Strong hands-on experience in Jenkins, Ansible, PowerShell/Bash scripting.
8. Experience with Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Cloud formation).
9. Experience in shell scripting and a high-level programming language is a plus.
10. Professional Architect Certification is a plus.
