Job Description - Store Manager

Job Description

The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in retail management, a passion for motorsports, and experience in sales and operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop a knowledgeable and customer-focused sales team.
  • Set performance standards, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching to improve team members’ skills.
  • Drive sales by developing, implementing, and monitoring sales strategies.
  • Engage with customers, offering product knowledge and recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, handling complaints, and resolving issues promptly.

Inventory & Merchandising

  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring products are fully stocked and organized.
  • Manage stock levels and order new inventory in coordination with suppliers and demand trends.
  • Set up, adjust, and maintain store displays, promoting featured products and seasonal trends.

Operations & Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage store budgets, monitoring expenses to achieve financial objectives.
  • Track store performance metrics (e.g., sales, profitability, customer satisfaction) and report findings to the Regional Manager.
  • Oversee cash handling, transactions, and deposit reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

Health, Safety, & Compliance

  • Ensure a safe and clean store environment in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Conduct routine safety checks and maintenance inspections on store fixtures and equipment.
  • Train staff on safety protocols, especially related to motorsports products and any safety equipment.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in motorsports, automotive, or a similar field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of motorsports products and trends is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
