Job Description
The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in retail management, a passion for motorsports, and experience in sales and operations management.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, train, and develop a knowledgeable and customer-focused sales team.
- Set performance standards, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching to improve team members’ skills.
- Drive sales by developing, implementing, and monitoring sales strategies.
- Engage with customers, offering product knowledge and recommendations to meet their needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, handling complaints, and resolving issues promptly.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring products are fully stocked and organized.
- Manage stock levels and order new inventory in coordination with suppliers and demand trends.
- Set up, adjust, and maintain store displays, promoting featured products and seasonal trends.
Operations & Financial Management
- Prepare and manage store budgets, monitoring expenses to achieve financial objectives.
- Track store performance metrics (e.g., sales, profitability, customer satisfaction) and report findings to the Regional Manager.
- Oversee cash handling, transactions, and deposit reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Health, Safety, & Compliance
- Ensure a safe and clean store environment in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Conduct routine safety checks and maintenance inspections on store fixtures and equipment.
- Train staff on safety protocols, especially related to motorsports products and any safety equipment.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in motorsports, automotive, or a similar field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of motorsports products and trends is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
