Lead Solutions Architect

Flexible Work Location! Be in Manila or anywhere else in the Philippines.

Work predominantly from home. Our office is in Cebu and we support predominately remote working arrangement.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Solutions Architect is responsible for providing leadership to the architecture, development, and design teams and recommending and delivering high quality and cost-effective solutions. He/she will also be responsible for defining the strategy, architecting end to end solutions, and supporting and ensuring the successful delivery of complex enterprise-level assigned projects often involving multiple systems.

This role supports our Australian and Philippines operations and can be performed anywhere in the Philippines - with the occasional office drop-in. Before and after current COVID restrictions, Entrinsic Technology supports predominately remote working arrangements for reliable professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for understanding and translating client’s technical requirements and providing in depth technical design and architecture.
• Working collaboratively with a cross functional team to ensure the successful technical delivery of work consistently to schedule.
• Provide leadership to the development and design teams for high-level systems architecture.
• Architect, Design and Implement new enterprise class applications from scratch and without technical oversight. The deliveries are to receive positive reviews by third party software quality assurance entities when judged against contemporary software architecture and coding best practices
• Be a Subject Matter Expert for Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Development techniques, backed by UML modelling.
• Foster a productive team environment by inclusively and positively mentoring less technically capable team members to improve their skillset, productivity, and quality of output.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Possess a solid competence in the following disciplines necessary to perform core duties:
• Team & Customer Relation Management
• Agile and waterfall project management techniques
• Requirements elicitation and documentation, including Use Cases and User Stories
• Requirement Analysis, including data flows, data modelling, system message sequencing
• Software architecture, Design, and Implementation, including object-oriented software development, software architectural and coding design patterns, test and domain driven development, and exemplary coding practices with C# and/or Java.
• Test Management & Execution
• Configuration Management of Project and Organizational assets
• Release & Build Management, including contemporary approaches involving Continuous Integration and Delivery.
• System Deployment, Environment Management and Networking.
• Extensive time management skills to determine schedules and milestones and ensure that deliverables are completed on time.
• Excellent onshore client engagement and presentation skills.
• Excellent professional communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent problem-solving skills: able to quickly change direction based on updated client specifications or systems limitations.
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and decisive, has a positive attitude towards work and drive continuous improvements.
• Experience with team leadership and motivation is essential.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in an ambiguous situation.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES:

Experience in logistics, particularly maritime logistics is highly regarded.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), or equivalent experience.
• Twenty (20) years’ experience comprising of:
• Ten (10) years Solution Architecture experience
• Minimum ten (10) years solid Software Development experience
• Willing to do hands on development across various technologies and frameworks.
• Expert in defining and documenting solution requirements.
• Solid use case and message sequence diagramming exposure
• Expert in scoping and estimation of solutions.
• Experience in presales and proposal generation.
