Senior Backend Software Engineer

• Responsibility for the development and maintenance of Java-based backend applications using the Spring framework
• Design and implementation of highly available RESTful web services and APIs
• Advanced database design and optimisation as well as integration of external systems and services
• Monitoring and conducting code reviews to ensure the highest code quality
• Strategic collaboration with other development teams and stakeholders to develop technical solutions

• Degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualifications
• Extensive and proven experience in the development of Java-based backend applications as well as in-depth knowledge of the Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot
• Experience in the development and implementation of RESTful web services and APIs
• In-depth knowledge of databases (SQL, Hibernate, JPA) and version control systems
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and messaging systems (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured way of working
• Ideally initial management experience
• Good knowledge of English and the ability to collaborate successfully in an agile environment
