Our client is looking for a Consultant Neonatologist, they will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for infants. This role involves diagnosing, managing, and treating patients while adhering to established best practices and hospital protocols. This role demands a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of patient care and continuous improvement within the department.

The facility is also equipped with the Da Vinci and Artis pheno robotic equipment which is more precise and enables quicker surgery and with fewer complications resulting in a faster recovery.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Diagnose and treat patients following best practice standards.
Compliance: Follow hospital practices, Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, and departmental regulations.
Patient Rounds: Regularly assess inpatients and outpatients.
Consultations: Provide expert consultations for paediatric patients.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Communication: Convey medical information effectively to patients and families.
Education: Participate in health education activities and teach physicians in training.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster strong communication and collaboration across specialties.
SOP Development: Create and monitor compliance with standard operating procedures.
Professional Development: Commit to continual personal and professional development, including CPD and compliance with the Department of Health of Qatar's CME requirements.
Quality Management: Engage in quality management programs and audit processes to maintain standards.
Special Procedures: Perform privileged special procedures.
Operational Duties: Attend meetings, manage time and resources effectively, participate in shift scheduling, and assist in staff recruitment and training.
Team Development: Contribute to the planning and career development of the team.
Education Requirements:
Board certification or equivalent credentials in Neonatology.
Graduate degree in Medicine MBBS or MBBCh (Essential).
Fellowship in Neonatology.
Western Board certified in Neonatology and eligible for Consultant License in the State of Qatar as per MoPH criteria (Essential) at least 12 months duration from one of the Category 1 Western countries.
US Board/CCT in Neonatology or equivalent specialist training certificate (Category 1).
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in a full time Consultant Neonatology position, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a government, semi- government, or a teaching hospital.
Minimum 1 year of experience in GCC (preferred).
Preferably Arabic speaking candidates.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

Teaching: Strong ability to educate and mentor medical staff.
Organisational Skills: Capable of organising, prioritising workload, delegating responsibilities, and supervising staff effectively.
Team Motivation: Skilled in inspiring and motivating a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively within teams and across organisations.
Service Development: Experience in implementing service development and managing change within a healthcare setting.
Leadership: Demonstrates strong leadership, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to take responsibility.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly with colleagues to provide comprehensive services.
Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication with colleagues, patients, families, general practitioners, nurses, management, and other agencies.
Empowerment and Improvement: Understands and practices empowering others, leading through change, and striving for continuous improvement and integrity.
