Description

Role Purpose

To plan, manage and control the storage, product handling and distribution of Transmed’s Warehouse to ensure quality of storage, on time delivery of products and best in class customer service at optimum costs.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

• Ensure efficient processes for Inbound, Picking and Outbound of products across all locations
• Ensure full implementation of the safety & security procedures and track their effectiveness in order to reach zero accidents.
• Ensure WMS procedures are implemented and meet Inventory Accuracy targets

Transportation & Fleet Management

• Plan and optimize the usage of the fleet across the Central Region
• Ensure maintenance of fleet is conducted on time

Customer Service Levels

• Track and achieve set Customer Service Levels for the Central Region

Expense Control

• Ensure compliance with set budget for Warehouse Expenses
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost to serve

Reporting & Analysis

• Share a monthly Warehouse scorecard with the Logistics to review the Warehouse performance and define ways to enhance the Warehouse performance

Inventory Management

• Safeguard the inventory quantity and quality and implement stock count policies and procedures.
• Investigate and identify reasons behind stock variances and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy
• Ensure WMS procedures are implemented and meet Inventory Accuracy targets for all warehouses
• Ensure the warehouse storage capacity is maximized

People Management

• Recruit, develop and retain Warehouse employees
• Provide the team with adequate training, coaching and mentoring in order to develop their skills and support their career paths
• Set KPI’s and targets for the team to manage individual performance

Quality Assurance

• Ensure the Warehouse fully complies with all QA standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration
• Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• At least 5 years of experience in Warehousing in Food & Beverage or FMCG company
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role

• Excellent Computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint
• Good Reporting skills
• WMS Knowledge
• Good knowledge about QA standards i.e. HACCP or BRC
