Job Description - Director - Retail Project Management

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Retail Project Management to lead our ambitious retail initiatives within the groundbreaking Qiddiya development. In this leadership role, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle from conception through to implementation, ensuring that our retail offerings are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for setting the vision and direction for project management functions related to retail, while also collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Define and implement the project management strategy for all retail initiatives aligned with Qiddiya's overall vision and objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a portfolio of retail projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project scheduling.
  3. Collaborate with senior leadership and various departments to establish project scopes, deliverables, and objectives.
  4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring project alignment with business goals.
  5. Monitor project progress and performance, utilizing metrics and KPIs to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Ensure that all project documentation, reporting, and communication is maintained at high standards for transparency and accountability.
  8. Mentor and develop project management teams, promoting best practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
  9. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in project management to continuously enhance processes and methodologies.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree and/or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 12-16 years of relevant project management experience, with a strong portfolio in managing large-scale retail projects.
  3. Proven leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  4. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, with a penchant for Agile and Lean practices.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
  6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  7. Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments while managing multiple projects concurrently.
  8. Experience in the entertainment or leisure sector is an advantage.
