Potatoes Sourcing Manager

Position Purpose

Manages the company’s supply of potatoes. Strategizes to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. The role involves discovering the best methods to reduce procurement expenses related to raw potatoes and developing efficient plans and strategies aligned with timelines during the contracting, agriculture, and harvest seasons.

Responsibilities:

1. Contracting:
   • Prepare contracts with suppliers and companies for raw potatoes, ensuring approval aligns with project plans and expansion goals to meet factory production targets.
   • Approve contracts in accordance with project studies and expansion plans.
   • Design an optimal organizational structure for the agriculture sector to ensure resource utilization and effective communication.
2. Raw Potatoes Evaluation:
   • Evaluate seed varieties and select the best seeds to maximize yield, quality, and disease resistance.
3. Budgeting & Planning:
   • Prepare and monitor the agriculture budget related to raw potatoes, ensuring financial performance aligns with the annual budget to control costs.
   • Supervise plans for seed programs and raw potato management to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
4. Communication & Follow-up:
   • Manage and oversee the company's farms, ensuring reclamation and planting plans are followed.
   • Coordinate supplier warehousing and payment processes upon delivery.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in agricultural storage, preferably in the potato or fresh produce industry.
