Founded in 1902, Air Liquide is the world leader in gases, technologies and services for industry and health. It is present in Singapore since 1911, where the need for a reliable gas producer to support the burgeoning Far East economy led to the establishment of Far East Oxygen Pte Ltd. Later, the rapid industrial growth augmented the need to develop a wider supply chain, giving rise to the formation of Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide (SOXAL). In 2016, the Company's name was renamed to Air Liquide Singapore (ALSg).
From a modest gas production capacity in the 1920s, ALSg today operates in more than 20 locations around Singapore and employs 800 people, making it the largest industrial and medical gas provider in South East Asia. ALSg provides the essential gas infrastructure, equipment and gases to the assortment of industries, including electronics, petrochemicals, chemicals, aviation, marine, biomedical, pharmaceutical, environmental and health care with the same efficiency and reliability that Singapore has become renowned for.
