This position reports to the:

a) Head of Lombard Credit

b) Head of Derivative Competency Centre Asia

c) Head of Credit Reporting Asia

in rotation, and interfaces with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The trainee will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of Private Banking Credit Risk topics including Projects & Initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities:

Trainee to be rotated within the Credit Asia team – Lombard Credit, Credit Derivatives Competency Centre and Credit Reporting over the 9 months period:

· Lombard Credit

  • Work alongside with Lombard CO to analyse, review and propose credit requests in adherence to Credit Policy;
  • have sound understanding of end to end credit processes covering monitoring, transactions approvals, exceptions handling
  • Identify and propose areas for process/systems improvements

· Credit Derivatives Competency Centre

  • Support the Derivatives Credit Officer Team and the Lending Value team with daily business & project related tasks. Additionally, some specific efficiency projects could be assign to the Trainee depending on IT savviness.

· Credit Reporting

  • Overview of Credit reporting and control functions. Assist in the preparation of various reports (including regulatory and management reporting).
  • Provide administrative and documentation support to Credit Officers.
  • Automation initiatives as appropriate.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

Trainees will gain relevant experience and knowledge in Private Banking, and learn on the job to become a competent partner to stakeholders, paving the way to advance as a Credit Analyst at the end of twelve months.

  • Gain working experience on the types of credit offerings within the financial industry.
  • Gain familiarity with the responsibilities in managing a portfolio of accounts
  • Engage with internal stakeholders professionally and influence them over time.
  • Develop/strengthen interpersonal and communication skills
