About the job

IKEA Jurong is a unique city centre store in a popular shopping mall. It is a smaller store with a big turnover and 3 milion visitors. It will be lead by an ambitious team consisting of the Store, Commercial, Operations, IKEA Food and a Retail Foundation Manager.

You will optimise the IKEA Shopping experience in your area of responsibility to secure satisfied customers and increase sales through your knowledge of the IKEA range, life at home and the local market competition in all sales channels and the customer’s ever changing shopping behaviour.  You are to lead your multi skilled frontline team to contribute to maximising sales potential, turnover, colume and profit by securing the easy bying experience of the customers.

Your assignment

  • Understand customers’ shopping behaviour, retail trends & life at home and use the knowledge to make informed business decisions that give us a competitive advantage;
  • Ensure sales and profitabiility is secured through sales steering and range efficiency to maximise growth;
  • Securing your area of responsibility in excellent shape as new, fully stocked wih high level of merchadising basics in place;
  • Analyse and follow up on forecast adjustments to optimise product availability when sales patterns change;
  • Take responsibility to achieve goals set for my area of responsibility and communicate the action plans clearly to my team;
  • Work closely with Floor Manager to analyse and follow up on qualitative and quantitative performance; securing commercial opportunities and priorities in a multichannel environment.
