Phonics Teacher (Teaching preschool age) - Flexi Hours, Training Provided

Responsibilities

• To prepare lessons that follow the ‘Read in a Week’ programme
• To interact and teach the children (mostly preschool) how to use Phonics in the most effective and creative way possible
• To track each individual child’s progress and report back to the parents after each class accordingly
• To build rapport with the parents
• To conduct assessment for potential students to understand what level of reading proficiency they are at, and to advise how we can help them improve
• To build up numbers in your class which might possibly mean expansion of classes

Requirements

• No phonics experience needed – as long as candidate is passionate about teaching children and is willing to learn
• Pre-school and/or teaching children that are pre-school age of any subject will be highly advantageous
• Any type of prior Phonics training will be advantageous, but not a requirement
• Create an environment that is optimal for children to interact and learn in a productive way
• Be able to work mostly weekday evenings and full days on weekend(s)
• Training and exposure to real-life class situations will be provided
