Preschool Teacher (English)

Job Description: 

• Assist children from 18 months to 6 years in daily self-help skills like toileting, diapering, showering, eating, putting on footwear, changing clothes, washing hands and washing own utensils after meals.
• Teach children to take care of the environment by cleaning up after themselves through sweeping or mopping.
• Plan and implement a holistic and developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum and integrated activities for children.
• Write lesson plans , evaluations and child development checklist, prepare teaching materials and conduct lessons.
• Communicate regularly with parents formally through communication book，Circle of Love（亲子桥） and informally when parents send and pick up their children from school.
• Set up learning centre accordingly, change and maintain classroom displays regularly.
• Assist in maintaining classroom cleanliness and tidiness.
• Provide a safe and clean learning environment for the care and development of children in the centre and during outdoor activities.
• Provide activities, apparatus and equipment to support the various curriculum areas.
• Ensure that centre’s service meets the needs of children and families.
• Performs other related work as required.

Job Requirement:

• Min Diploma in Pre-school Education - Teaching (DPE-T) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE-T), or its equivalent recognised by ECDA for K1/K2 teachers; 
• Has been registered with ECDA and attained a L1 or L2 certification
• Knowledge and Skills Required 
• Demonstrate good active communicative skills
• Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices
• Ability to work well with children and families
