Job Summary

Our client, a leading semiconductor machine developer, seeks a Manager/Senior Manager to lead electrical and motion control engineering teams, driving design and optimization of automation systems for high-performance machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical and controls engineers to deliver high-quality motion control solutions
• Design, develop, implement, and optimize electrical motion control systems for semiconductor machines or automation machinery
• Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control system architectures to support machine functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to motion synchronization, positioning accuracy, vibration, and dynamic performance
• Manage multiple automation or machine-build projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring timely delivery
• Coordinate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and production teams to align project goals and execution
• Support or review programming efforts for motion controllers, servo tuning, and automation sequences to enhance system performance
• Drive improvements in machine reliability, efficiency, and maintainability through continuous analysis and innovation

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial automation or motion control engineering
• At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing engineering teams
• Proven expertise in electrical design, control system analysis, vibration analysis, servo motor, and motion control systems
• Strong knowledge of motion control modeling and algorithms for ultra-high speed and high accuracy applications
• Demonstrated project planning and execution skills to manage complex engineering projects
• Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking skills applied to engineering challenges

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 3 years in a leadership or managerial role preferred
