NETWORK ENGINEER

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Network Security Engineer to support our cybersecurity and network operations. This role is ideal for a current student or recent graduate in network security, cybersecurity, or a related field, eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges. The candidate will work closely with our security team to learn and contribute to firewall management, network monitoring, and basic security tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with senior engineers on assessments, configuration and maintenance

-Assist senior engineers on project documentation

-Participate in training sessions

-Conduct research on emerging network technologies, cyber threats and present findings to the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

-Familiarity with basic networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and security principles (e.g., firewalls, encryption).

-Exposure to security tools (e.g., firewalls, antivirus software) through academic projects or labs is a plus.

-Coursework or projects in networking and security are a plus.

-Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is an advantage.

-Excellent communication and documentation skills in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu language, both written and verbal.

-Ability to work effectively across teams.

-Certified in CCNA or equivalent certification are highly desirable.
