Project Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically competent Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting engineering reviews, technical assessments, and project analysis across a range of engineering assignments, from moderately complex projects to major engineering initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with clients, field operations, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and project requirements while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Technical Review

• Review plans, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
• Evaluate engineering designs and identify potential issues relating to design integrity, materials, technical feasibility, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field operations and internal stakeholders.

Project Execution & Coordination

• Apply sound engineering principles to resolve technical challenges and support project execution.
• Analyze engineering problems and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Recommend improvements to engineering methods, procedures, and design approaches.
• Coordinate engineering activities across multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work directly with clients to understand project requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders regarding project status and deliverables.
• Support the successful delivery of engineering services through proactive stakeholder management.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare accurate technical reports, assessments, correspondence, and project documentation.
• Maintain timely reporting of project progress, workload status, and deliverables.
• Ensure documentation complies with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to company Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) policies and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality management activities.
• Maintain compliance with internal quality management systems and industry regulations.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in engineering design review, technical analysis, project engineering, or classification-related activities is preferred.
• Exposure to international projects and regulatory requirements is an advantage.

• Maritime, offshore, marine, energy, industrial, or classification industry experience.
• Familiarity with international engineering codes, standards, and regulations.
• Professional Engineer registration or progress toward professional accreditation is advantageous.
