Quality Engineer, $4,200 (Woodlands)

Location: Woodlands (Near MRT)

Salary: $3,600 - $4,200

Working hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Mon to Fri)

About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join a cross-functional team supporting Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain functions. You will play a key role in ensuring product and process quality, driving continuous improvement, and managing customer and supplier quality issues.

This role involves hands-on quality problem solving, customer interface, and ownership of CAPA, NCR, and ISO compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
• Work with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality issues
• Develop and implement Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection& Test Plans, and related procedures
• Drive product quality improvements and resolve non-conformances (NCRs)
• Lead investigations into customer failures and coordinate root cause analysis
• Manage RMA process and ensure timely closure of customer issues
• Support ISO 9001:2015 certification and audit requirements
• Monitor quality metrics (NCRs, on-time delivery, supplier performance, etc.)
• Conduct 5S audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Operate and program CMM (Zeiss) for inspection and FAI activities
• Provide quality training and support document control activities

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical /related field)
• 3 - 5 years of experience in Manufacturing / EMS /Semiconductor / Quality role
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, 5S, PFMEA, SPC
• Able to read mechanical drawings and use inspection tools (CMM, profile projector, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
