Biomedical Engineer / Technician (Hospital) - $2.5K to $4.5K

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the HOD and manager in achieving service goals, targets, and department KPIs.
• Play a vital role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medical equipment by developing and implementing programs that minimize disruptions to operations and guarantee equipment functionality.
• Manage maintenance agreements with vendors for the servicing and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.
• Prepare medical equipment specifications for tender, evaluate tender submissions, and provide recommendations based on technical compliance.
• Act as a trusted technical consultant to hospital staff, guiding them in defining and evaluating their medical equipment needs.
• Educate and train hospital personnel on the proper handling of medical equipment, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills for optimal use.
• Provide leadership and coordination for the medical equipment management team, overseeing tasks such as commissioning, preventive maintenance, inventory control, and decommissioning.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reports, annual capital, and operating budgets for the department.
• Ensure BME work activities conform to standards and work practices that the hospital subscribes to - ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, JCI, etc.

Qualifications and Criteria

• Min Diploma / Degree in Biomedical engineering or other Engineering courses
• Min 1 to 2 year of servicing exp in medical or lab devices
