Summary
Calling all experienced bartenders who are ready to level up! You will be the lead bartender in the house with solid knowledge in international cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits. The bar is your playground and you the magic maker. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys bar and restaurant operations.
Some duties you will carry out:
- This is an operational position – you work full shifts behind the bar to support the restaurant flow
- You will be overseeing the bar program for Kilo Kitchen and be involved in bar menu creation, training, and perfecting the menu. You will also manage a small team of full time and part-time bartenders
- Sourcing for new bar suppliers, negotiating better prices, maintaining bar par levels, quality controls, taking inventory and maintaining regular variance reports, adherence to SOPs and SOS – being 100% responsible for what happens behind the bar
- The basics include setting up and opening the bar, running and maintaining it during service, cleaning up, and closing it out for the night. Receiving stocks and supplies takes inventory and organizing them.
- Learning bar menu to memory, and being able to train all new crew step by step, on the whys and how’s
- Building guest relations by providing memorable experiences (during dining and events) is at the core of what Kilos does and believes in. You will adopt this practice while working on increasing guest return count.
- Work with General Manager closely to support the team and restaurant operations and ensure guest satisfaction
What you need to successfully apply:

Experienced in managing and running a bar confidently

Have craft cocktailing knowledge and immersed in the local bartending scene

Thorough knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirit, and some barista knowledge

A time management ninja – you should feel comfortable managing all aspects of bar operations daily while maintaining quality control, mise en place, overseeing of junior bartenders, and maintain the flow of the bar to avoid drink delays

Have some experience in bar training, otherwise, a willing attitude to learn

Know how to take bar inventories, place orders, maintain par levels and implement SOPs
