Full-Time Baker

Manna Pot Catering is a halal-certified catering company in Singapore, with an aim to be a one-stop solution provider for events, functions and weddings. Our wide range of services extend beyond food catering, into production of desserts, cakes and patisserie; event planning and coordination; and event styling and floral services. Be it a private function such as a wedding, barbecue or birthday party, or a large scale event like a conference, seminar or exhibition, our team of friendly and dedicated staff are always at hand to assist in crafting the perfect event or celebration, whatever the occasion.

We are seeking a baker for Manna Pot Catering and its affiliated brands. 

The position reports directly to the Business Unit Manager.

Your Challenges & Responsibilities

• Production of bread, cookies, pastries and cakes
• To be able to mix and bake ingredients according to the recipes;
• To follow through Operation processes and recipes for daily production to ensure proper quality and consistency is maintained.
• To be involved in Research and Development process through new ideas and creations.
• To ensure efficient operation of each production and maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure that cleaning of bakery equipment is done on a daily and weekly schedule.
• Ensure that the bakery is kept clean, tidy and well maintained at all times
• Ensure compliance of all food safety standards in the bakery process
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in the pastry industry
• Passion for baking & cake decorating
• Willing to learn & accept feedback/criticisms
• Able to work in a team, and interact well with colleagues
• Hardworking, proactive and meticulous
• Required to commit to 6 days work week. Able to work on PH & weekends
• Must have WSQ Basic Food and Hygiene Course Certificate
