Job Description - Pastry Assistant

Hvala Singapore is looking for suitable candidates who are keen to develop their pastry-making skills.

Job responsibilities:

- Preparation of ingredients and handling of kitchen equipment

- Production of pastries, baked goods and related desserts using a set recipe

- Participation in ideation of new recipes and their development

- Receiving and checking of inventory, managing of inventory levels

- Assisting and liaising with suppliers

- Maintaining the hygiene standard

Basic requirements:

- Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process

- Possessing either a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking (or any relevant field), or, with experience in F&B industry.

- Able to work weekends & public holidays

Skills & Abilities:

- Proactive and reliable, with a keen attention to detail

- Ability to withstand stress and work well under pressure

- Good time management skills
