Prep Chef

Your duties include:

• The basics include timely mise en place preparation, working through the days service, ensuring food being served is checked for quality control, adhering of kitchen SOP, stock take and ordering, clean up and closing of kitchen after end of service.
• Training in all stations and rotate on a scheduled basis.
• Understanding, learning and managing the stock taking of your station.
• Working closely together with the team and Head Chef on all matters of the kitchen.
• Taking part in trainings and menus testing as needed.
• Assisting in training new team members and doing stock orderings as required

What you need to successfully apply:

• You have worked in the kitchen for 1-2 years and are a well-rounded cook familiar with the different cooking stations in a kitchen and cooking methods and techniques.
• You get joy from cooking, are immersed in it, believe in it and want to work to improve it – in short, you are here for the long run with all of us.
• Possess superior time management skills and enjoy working as a team.
• Can comfortably work long hours on your feet in a high-volume environment.
• Can work weekend and public holidays.
• Able to start work immediately. This is a Full-Time position.
