Job Description

Provide HR advice and support to various department heads and their teams in Asia. At all times, this role demonstrates behaviours in accordance with our corporate values and desired culture.


  • Responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions including Recruitment, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Expatriate Management, Succession Planning, Learning & Development & Reward & Benefits
  • Partner with the line managers and deliver a range of HR solutions to meet their needs
  • Work closely with the Reward team to ensure that our front and back office employees are competitively compensated
  • Build strong working relationships with internal clients and understand their departmental goals and requirements
  • Assist the Head of HR, Asia to recruit high calibre candidates as and when needed
  • Be actively involved in the remuneration review, performance review and promotion processes for all of the offices in Asia
  • Keep abreast of employment legislation in Asia and provide guidance to the senior managers with regards to employee relations      issues, employee benefits, recruitment matters and termination and redundancy laws
  • Keep abreast of market trends and what our major competitors are doing
  • Provide support to the Head of HR, Asia and attend the Asia Leadership Team meetings on her behalf as and when necessary
  • Work closely with the HR Operations team and share the workload with them as and when necessary
  • Coach and develop the managers/team leaders in order to make them more effective in their roles
  • Work in a matrixed organisation and build strong working relationships with Group HR colleagues
  • Answer general HR enquiries from staff
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration and assist the other members of the HR team as and when necessary

Other Knowledge, Experience, Personal Attributes:

  • A university degree majoring in HR, Psychology, Banking or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years relevant HR experience with an international bank
