The Role
The role of the Research Associate is integral to the success of SIGNIUM. Best-in-class research provides access to competitive market intelligence that equips our internal team to excel in the marketplace. The Research Associate works closely with internal Partners to conduct name generation exercises for executive searches, provide business development support and execute specialty projects to map the competitive landscape.
We are currently recruiting a Research Associate to join SIGNIUM’s Asia Pacific region SIGNIUM is a market leader in the Consumer, Industrial and Life Science sectors. The Research Associate will have the opportunity to join this world class team.
Key Accountabilities
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
Identifying Candidates: The Research Associate will work on projects spanning various industry sectors and job functions. The varied nature of each project requires the Research Associate to hone their ability to think critically and uniquely about each role to identify the most relevant executives for each project. The Research Associate will then utilize phone calls, search engines, printed resources, our proprietary database to effectively locate these executives.
Market Intelligence: Working closely with other members of the SIGNIUM team, the Research Associate will work on special projects aimed to provide pointed market insight (i.e. compensation, organizational structure) for business development and project execution purposes.
Data Maintenance: Good data is non-negotiable in our business. The Research Associate will continuously update our proprietary database with relevant details and information. The continuous update of this system allows SIGNIUM to stay abreast of executive moves and marketplaces changes and trends.
Business Development: The role of the Research Associate begins before a project has been won. The Research Associate will actively support Partners with business development activities. This support can include, but is not limited to, creating information packs to brief the Partner, providing research support for specific client meetings, as well as proactively identifying potential candidates.
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE CHARACTERISTICS AND ATTRIBUTES
The ideal Research Associate is a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual aspiring to build a successful career in Executive Search. An outside-of-the-box thinker and self-starter who is able to maintain meticulous attention to detail while understanding macro-level industry concepts and trends. This individual will possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and unstructured environment, balance multiple projects and produce best in class research in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
• 0-2 Years experience in search business or related information business or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal, oral and business writing skills
• Strong telephone presence and confidence
• Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of resources available on the Internet
• Must be comfortable operating in a highly professional environment
• Flexibility and team behavior.
• Energetic and motivated to succeed
