Forklift Operator/Warehouse Assistant/Inventory

The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator/Forklift Operator/Warehouse Assistant/Inventory Assistant is responsible for sorting, routing and loading cargo to and from various warehousing or storage locations.

Systematic and mechanically-inclined, he/she is also responsible for quality standards, safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment and may also be required to support general warehouse operations. He/She is expected work with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish his/her work.

~ Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods.
~ Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage time and temperature sensitive cargo.
~ Comply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, arranging items on pallets according to storage plan.
~ Highlight WSH shortcomings in existing processes.
~ Identify operational shortfall, maintenance or repair needs.
~ Maintain safety, health and operational quality standards.
~ Perform activities to improve quality of logistics services.
~ Perform cargo consolidation activities.
~ Perform cargo/ material handling security procedures.
~ Perform container stuffing and unstuffing operations.
~ Perform cross docking operations and shipment consolidation.
~ Perform loading/ unloading/ arranging of warehouse cargo and items.
~ Perform moving of warehouse cargo and items.
~ Perform safety and health risk assessment.
~ Perform transshipment and transloading operations.
~ Perform warehouse operations in accordance with 5S (sort, set, shine, standardise, sustain) techniques (Apply 5S technique in manufacturing).
~ Perform Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) activities to ensure personal compliance to requirements.
~ Report warehousing issues in a timely manner.
~ Report WSH incidents.
~ Support the department in incident/ crisis management initiatives.
