Job Description - Marketing Manager

Job Description

Marketing Strategy Development

  • Lead the development of country and regional marketing plans to deliver on priorities, leveraging market opportunities and support achievement of business objectives at a regional and country level.
  • Deliver on strategy with strong execution of marketing strategy to enhance the performance and adoption of SciMed brands.
  • New product launches: setting up launch plans, ensure launch readiness and excellence at regional and country level.
  • Lead or collaborate with other functional teams on business topics such as portfolio strategy, assessment of new business opportunities, evaluation of new products, marketing capability enrichment, participation in project teams, etc.

Digital, Media and SEO/SEM

  • Build and Implement a cohesive and comprehensive digital and social media communication strategy, including website development, updates and new content creation, online promotions and messaging.
  • Creates digital plans and budgets; manages to the objectives, strategies and tactics prioritized within plan and ensure analytical rigor is continuously applied to optimize the plans' implementation. Has good knowledge of utilization of social media channels and an ability to negotiate best costs / quality with digital and media agencies
  • Creation of engaging digital content based on brand positioning and leveraging high reach across social media channels
  • Drive regional digital marketing efforts, drive traffic to websites through website improvement, SEO, SEM, social media channels, web analytics, social media monitoring, and integrated offline activities. User Experience and Engagement
  • Identify and implement user experience improvements. Provide insights into customer behaviour and suggest improvements. Contribute ideas for new customer engagement methods

Content Development and Management

  • Collaborate with Singapore/Local product/account managers and Export managers to develop and align marketing and communication campaigns with regional and local strategies.
  • Plan and execute marketing communications by creating digital content, emailers, newsletters, etc., in collaboration with global and local teams, ensuring compliance with corporate branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Manage content across multiple sites to ensure functionality and accuracy.
  • Optimize website performance, keep information updated, and enhance user experience.

Campaign Coordination and Execution

  • Plan and manage the Marketing Calendar.
  • Develop comprehensive plans to increase awareness of SciMed’s products. Develop and execute marketing tactics to enhance the acquisition of new customers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful marketing campaigns.
  • Event Support: Plan and execute events and trade shows, leading the design and production of deliverables. Assist with logistics and content creation for internal and external events.
  • Manage incoming leads in the CRM and channel them to the respective account managers.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Monitor and Report competitor activities, brainstorm potential improvements or changes in marketing strategy, products, or services.
  • Evaluate ROI of marketing plans: Track and analyse results based on defined metrics. Use analytics tools to evaluate key initiatives to provide actionable insights and improvements. Undertake post-campaign analysis, optimization, and reporting for stakeholders.
  • Manage Marketing budget: prioritization, track and analyse expenses.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences or any related field
  • Minimum of 12 years marketing and business experience, preferable in healthcare or life sciences
  • Proven experience in delivering results through development, implementation and strong execution of marketing or business plans.
  • Strong passion for delivering results: goal-oriented and sales-driven; demonstrate ability to recognize trends, market opportunities and/or threats.
  • Problem solver, analytical rigor, and project management and strategic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Disciplined and meticulous, strong attention to details
  • Independent, self-motivated and excellent team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, and CRM tools e.g SalesForce, PipeDrive.
  • Good to have: Research/Lab experience in Pharmaceutical, Bioprocess, Proteomics, Genomics and Animal research would be an advantage. One (1) years sales or laboratory experience preferred.
