Cloudera Hadoop Support Engineer(Linux, VMware, cloudera )

Job Summary

We are seeking a Cloudera Hadoop Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Hadoop installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and security integration. The role includes working in Red Hat Linux environments and supporting secure, enterprise-grade Hadoop clusters with authentication and certificate management.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform installation and configuration of Cloudera Hadoop clusters.
• Support migration and upgrade activities across Hadoop environments.
• Configure Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, and related services.
• Implement and manage cluster security configurations.
• Configure and maintain SSL/TLS certificates for secure communication across Hadoop services.
• Integrate and manage Active Directory (AD) authentication for user access and authorization.
• Work on Kerberos authentication setup and security hardening of the Hadoop cluster.
• Troubleshoot security issues related to AD integration, SSL certificates, and Kerberos authentication.
• Provide support for Red Hat Linux installation, configuration, and basic administration tasks.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and service availability.
• Support patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and application teams during deployments.
• Maintain technical documentation for configurations, security setups, and procedures.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in Cloudera Hadoop installation and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
• Experience in Hadoop security configuration and hardening.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Experience integrating Active Directory (AD) authentication with Hadoop environments.
• Knowledge of Kerberos authentication.
• Strong Red Hat Linux administration skills.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Hadoop support / platform engineering roles.
