Company Profile and Objective

In line with the Singapore SMART nation initiative, we are an established hardware business looking to develop innovative mobile-based software applications and web-based applications that will be related to the HR and Recruitment industry. We are currently looking to build a software development team based in Singapore, and are looking for a Team Lead. Our strengths lie in the massive customer database that we have in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

The Company now deals primarily in four core areas of hardware business: Time Attendance, CCTV, Alarm, Access Control. Since 1994 the company is headquartered in Singapore and has established a major presence in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for the distribution of Amano Japan punch card machines and Biometric Attendance machines. Our clientele ranges from the largest Government Agencies (eg. ST Aerospace, ST Kinetics, Attorney General’s Chambers, Singapore Power, NEA, MCCY) to the smallest regional business operations.

In line with the upcoming IOT (Internet of Things) movement, The Company is looking to develop a software which can combine the Software Development Kits (SDK) and APIs of Biometric Attendance Devices, CCTV, Alarm Systems and Access Control hardware into a single integrated software solution. This software needs to have flexibility for customisation, is available as a web-based/desktop-based application and also needs to be extended to mobile phone platforms.

We are looking for key experienced personnel that have the experience and interest in the HRMS/Recruitment industry, who will be able to kickstart a team and see the project from end-to-end.

This project will be funded internally and by Singapore Government Grants.

Job Responsibilities

• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies

• Work closely with the Lead Solutions Architect, and is able to work with minimal guidance

• Employ previous knowledge of Data Science and statistical analysis to collect, analyse and interpret large data sets

• Dedicated to the Big Data section of this project

• Employ working knowledge of Machine Learning code and algorithms and facilitate the integration into our existing software

• Develop custom data models and algorithms to data sets

• Drive business results with data-based insights

• Use predictive modelling to increase and optimise customer experiences, revenue generation and targeting of customers

• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality

• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy

Job Requirements

• Possesses strong fundamentals on building data analytic models from scratch, and has a portfolio of prior completed projects to show

• Adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimisation, and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action

• Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis

• Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation

• Able to take on open sourced code, and customise and build on them

• Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modelling skills

• Has prior front end or back end coding experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python, Javascript

• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distribution, statistical tests and proper usage etc.)

• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning (ML) techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, and their real/world applications.

• Minimum 2 years of practical experience with SAS, ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics

• Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis etc.

• Advanced knowledge of data visualization techniques and software tools (eg. PowerBI, Tableau)
