Data Center Support Specialist

Our client is a multinational information technology and communications engineering company. With their expansion scheme, they are now looking Data Centre Support Specialist.

As a Data Centre Support Specialist, you are responsible:- 

• To control the colocation room, such as:- 
• Colocation room patrol
• Perform patrol in accordance with predefined schedule
• Keep the record of status of key point
• Take the corrective action or escalate to the appropriate person if there is something abnormal
• To monitor system management (Managed Services) where you are required to response to alarm reported by customer device monitoring system
• To guide the visitor if there is no Personal ID card holder
• To receive and check pre-entry application from internal or customer
• To manage the shipping such as shipping application management, parcel management, delivery ship management, and receiving management
• To manage and arrange the common facility usage
• To check and record rental items
• To understand and manage the rack shelf plate
• To receive and check carry-in/out application and arrange the schedule as necessary
• To involve in care protection management
• To receive request call from customer / Receive request mail from customer / Receive notification mail from portal.
• To send notification to customer on regular maintenance, emergency maintenance as well as occurrence notification.
• To provide customer support (service desk), through phone calls/ email as well as onsite support
• To maintain the quality by keeping the reports (each shift/daily/monthly)
• To load and unload of backup tapes according to customer’s runbook and schedule
• To receive and handover of backup tapes according to runbook and schedule to customer’s arranged offsite storage vendor
