About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and enhance our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, primarily on AWS. You will be a key player in automating processes and ensuring smooth operations across development and production environments, while mentoring junior engineers. 

What You'll Do & The Impact You'll Have

• Architect, design, and implement scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS using best practices. 
  

• Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation. 
  

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. 
  

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and reliability of cloud-based environments. 
  

• Implement security best practices and ensure that cloud environments are compliant with internal and external standards. 
  

• Automate repetitive tasks and processes with scripting in Python, Bash, or other tools. 
  

• Manage and optimize resource utilization and cost in AWS environments. 
  

• Oversee the administration and management of Linux environments in production and development. 
  

• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on DevOps best practices. 
  

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve productivity. 
  
  

Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Table

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps Engineer role, or similar positions. 
  

• Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, etc.) 
  

• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation. 
  

• Demonstrated expertise in building, managing, and automating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins). 
  

• Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and tool development. 
  

• Expertise in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.). 
  

• Deep understanding of networking, security practices, and monitoring in cloud environments. 
  

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. 
  

• Cloud Platforms: Advanced AWS Cloud expertise (EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, etc.) 
  

• IaC Tools: Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation 
  

• CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins 
  

• Scripting Languages: Python, Bash 
  

• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes 
  

• Operating Systems: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) 
  

• Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab 
  

• Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) 
  

• Security: AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), security groups, VPC, and encryption best practices 
  

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer). 
  

• Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway. 
  

• Expertise with configuration management tools 
  

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration with Kubernetes. 
  

• Experience with cost optimization in cloud environments. 
  

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles. 
  

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams. 
  

• Ability to lead and mentor junior DevOps engineers and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
