System Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a System Support Engineer to maintain and optimize IT infrastructure, provide technical support, manage system deployments, and ensure maximum uptime for our servers and networks. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can handle both high-level infrastructure projects and day-to-day user support.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, update, and decommission Linux and Windows servers.
• Maintain and manage infrastructure-related services to ensure maximum uptime.
• Serve as first point of contact for technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network related issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Proactively monitor system performance, availability and resource utilization to identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure reliability and prevent downtime.
• Manage Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure and M365 accounts.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies and protocols; perform virus/malware detection and remediation; execute regular data backup and recovery operations.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of technical manuals, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in system administration or technical support.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows servers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiar with security tools (Firewalls, Antivirus).
• Expert knowledge of Windows and macOS.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to provide on-call, after-hours support when required.
