Operations Assistant (School)

Scope of Service:
· Assists Operations Manager (OM) to monitor and check the term contractors fulfil the tasks stated in the MOE Facilities Management (FM) of Schools contracts.
· Assists to escort and supervise any contractors working in the school premises to ensure that they follow our building control rules & regulations.
· Assists in ensuring the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) equipment in the school premises are working properly.
· Assists in rectifications of minor faults detected and immediately report any major faults to OM. To review on fault occurrence reports.
· Assists to ensure the classrooms/special rooms/gates are locked after the school operating hours.
· Conduct routine servicing of equipment as per schedule assigned by OM.
· Provide logistical support for school events, activities, meetings including transporting and arranging furniture and equipment.
· Do minor installation and repair work (eg. fixing loose cupboard doors and shelves) beyond the scope of work under the MOE FM contracts.
· Check cleaning equipment stock and ensure sufficient supply.


Qualification & Skills:
a) Minimum ITE certificate or equivalent
b) Possess technical skills to perform Mechanical and Electrical
(M&E) tasks and knowledge in handling M&E equipment, or tools
c) Be able to work in a team
d) Have the drive to see tasks to completion
e) Have good time management
f) Conversant in English
g) At least 3 years of experience in related fields


Contract Period: From 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022.
· Mondays to Thursdays: 10:00am to 7:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
· Fridays: 10:30am to 7:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
