Associate Data Scientist (with capability in AI / ML)

To realise this vision, MOHT’s mission is to design and implement innovative solutions essential for the desired health system transformation.

The Data, Science and Technology team supports each of the vertical teams (FPC, IGH, InHealth) in their technology choices and, in some cases, developing solutions. It is also responsible for two “horizontal activities”: Data Science and AI; and, Mental Health.

The candidate will be able to use Data Science and Analytics to carry out analysis on unstructured healthcare problems. The candidate should then be able to use visualization models to analyse the relative effectiveness of treatments and experimental protocols on health outcomes including the implementation of clinical systems that can allow resulting new techniques to be tested and deployed in a clinical setting. The candidate should also have good programming skills, a working knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) and data visualization, and be able to apply these techniques to expand the usefulness of data in healthcare transformation.

Duties:

a. Use Data Science and Analytics to carry out analysis on unstructured healthcare problems

Ø Analyse population and patient outcomes and see how they vary with demographics, lifestyles and treatments;

b. Implement clinical systems that can allow resulting new techniques to be tested and deployed in a clinical setting

Ø Be able to assess the effectiveness of new care models;

c. Use advanced AI and ML techniques to expand the usefulness of data in healthcare transformation

Allow data to be used for prediction as well as alternative assessment thereby offering and assessing the potential for improved hypothetical care models

Job Requirements:

a. Masters or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering or allied field with demonstrated development or commercial deployment capability with the ability to work independently.

b. Hands-on which translates to being able to build and deploy systems without relying on programming staff.

c. Excellent communication and writing skills.

d. Fresh PhD holders can be considered though candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience are preferred.
