Retail Assistant

Work Responsibilities

·     Greet customers and make them feel welcome

·     Assist customer in purchases and make recommendations, if necessary

·     Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable

·     Be attentive to customers, providing answers to any questions

·     Assist shoppers with merchandise (proper sizing, colour choices, collecting items from back inventory if needed, etc.).

·     Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.

·     Receive, stock and maintain inventories

·     Ensure a good fit for the customer and the product

·     Restock low stock merchandise and ensure products are properly displayed at all times

·     Assist with inventory counts and placement of new products

·     Report discrepancies and problems to supervisor

·     Handle customer complaints and concerns calmly; find a reasonable solution (ask for supervisor advice if necessary)

·     Keep a watchful eye for theft or mishandling of merchandise; notify supervisor of unusual incident

·     Ensure customers are well-informed on any current sales, rewards programs, and store return policy

·     Process payment by using cash register, credit card machines, and/or POS (Point of Sale) computer system

Requirements

·     Secondary education or equivalent or higher qualification

·     Previous retail and/or sales experience is an added advantage

·     Service Oriented & Excellent service attitude

·     Good communication and strong interpersonal skill

·     Good team player

·     Thrives working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team

·     Computer literate and comfortable using POS systems

·     A fast learner and able to think quickly on one's feet

·     Work with passion, zest, energy and professionalism

·     Training will be provided
