Writer-Director

OHBOY! Pictures Pte. Ltd. is a full-service video production house dedicated to providing clients, big or small, with videos that meet their marketing, corporate or other needs, while also emphasizing on quality service. At present, we are looking for a writer-director to join our team! Directing Responsibilities: Creative leadership in the conceptualization and execution of a range of short-form video content, including corporate, promotional and event videos Creative management of the pre-production, production and post-production stages of a video project, including but not limited to tasks such as: - Working with scriptwriters to translate of concepts and scripts into visuals - Creation of mood boards, storyboards, shot lists and similar materials - Providing creative direction on production elements such as casting, locations, props, wardrobe, crew, equipment etc - Providing creative direction on technical aspects of filming such as camera framing, sound, lighting etc - Conducting of interviews - Bringing out performances of professional and non-professional actors - Providing creative direction on post-production processes such as shot selection, editing pace, music, colour grading, graphics etc - Bringing out performances of voiceover artists Writing Responsibilities: Creation of proposals, concepts and scripts for a range of short-form video content, including corporate, promotional and event videos All associated tasks, including but not limited to: - Attending project briefings - Conducting of research into clients, interviewees, video concepts and relevant subject areas as required for projects - Creative conceptualization, including the development and proposal of video styles and structures - Responding to, preparing and submitting of tender bids and other procurement opportunities -Pitching and presentation of video concepts and proposals -Development of video concepts and proposals into full scripts -Working with directors to translate their creative vision on paper - Development of picture boards - Transcription and identifying of soundbites from interviews Requirements: Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role Applicants who are able to demonstrate strong client servicing skills will be at an advantage Applicants should be adept at balancing between creative vision and concerns such as budget, schedule and client requirements Applicants should be independent and able to work in a small team Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
