Head of QC Control

Location: Spain (Ideally near Barcelona)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee all Quality Control (QC) processes and procedures to ensure compliance with GMP regulations and other relevant standards.
• Lead and manage the QC team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
• Oversee the testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage the validation and qualification of analytical methods, equipment, and laboratory systems.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and production teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring the QC department is audit-ready at all times.
• Monitor and report on QC metrics and performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the QC department remains compliant and competitive.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Control within a GMP environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, ICH guidelines, and QC best practices.
• Proven experience in method validation and equipment qualification.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
