Descripción del trabajo - Retail Expansion Manager

We need a person to help us take the brand of a multinational company in the optical sector to

the next level, so we are looking for a profile to join the sales area as a Developer Manager,

located in Madrid.

Position Functions:

  • Pre-Contractual Stage: Search, Recruitment and Evaluation of Franchisees.
  • Development of the Expansion Plan and Operating Plan: prepare a 5- year Expansion Plan and
  • 2-year Operating Plan, which must be reviewed, adjusted and validated by the company's leadership
  • team.
  • Recruitment of new Franchisees: identify and attract potential franchise partners, both the
  • profile of optometrists and investors, ensuring that they are in line with the company's values.
  • Commercial Real Estate Evaluation: Collaborate in the search and evaluation of commercial
  • properties for new centers, ensuring that they meet the criteria established in the Expansion Plan.
  • Franchisee profile assessment: conduct a thorough analysis of the franchisee client's
  • profile, ensuring that their business objectives and vision are aligned with the company's
  • philosophy.
  • Support in the negotiation of rental contracts: assist franchisees in the management and
  • negotiation of rental contracts for commercial premises.

Project Development Stage: contract, project and opening:

  • Management of the contractual process: responsible for supervising the signing of contracts between the company and the franchisee, ensuring that all clauses are complied with and that the necessary documents are attached to ensure that they are aligned with the brand.
  • Supervision of the design and layout of the project: lead the review and approval of the design and layout of the new centers, working in collaboration with internal and external teams ensuring that everything is aligned with the company's guidelines.
  • Management of the executive project and permits: will be in charge of supervising the execution of the executive project, verifying the obtaining of all the necessary permits and licenses, as well as guaranteeing deadlines, time management and cost control.
  • Supervision of the execution of the work: responsible for controlling the progress of the work, collaborating with contractors and project management to ensure that the previously established quality, time and cost parameters are respected.
  • Management of the delivery of the work: management of the reception of the project once it has been completed, including the verification of the list of defects, testing of the installations and validation of operation and maintenance documents.
  • Lead the opening of the franchised centers: make sure that everything is ready for the opening event of the center, coordinating the implementation of optical management software equipment, correct installation of the equipment, staff training, inventory control and the performance of marketing and social media activities.

Onboarding and Life Cycle Management of Franchised Centers.

  • Post-Opening Monitoring: supervise the daily operation of the center during the following three months, ensuring the customer experience and verifying that the operation is in line with the company's values and standards.
  • Periodic visits and recurrent evaluations: make periodic visits to the centers verifying correct compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Business Review: Leading semi-annual or annual reviews of the performance of the centers, evaluating their operational, financial and customer experience performance, as well as the coordination of both internal and franchised teams.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management and development in retail.
  • Degree in Architecture or Engineering, postgraduate degree in Business Administration is an asset.
  • Solid experience in Facility Management and maintenance of retail stores.
  • In-depth knowledge of P&L and ability to develop and manage business plans.
  • Proficiency in Office and SAP Package.
  • Availability to travel 70% of the time.
  • Leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Computer skills: Mastery of Pack Office, important high level of Excel.
  • Spoken and written English level B2-C1.
