As a Digital Customer Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in optimizing Order to Cash (O2C) processes by designing and implementing innovative technology solutions.
Partnering closely with the Digital Customer Engagement and Sales Enablement functions, you will deliver scalable solutions that bridge business processes with technology ecosystems. This role will be pivotal in evolving platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP CPQ, and other 3rd party technologies, driving customer fulfillment, operational efficiency, and architectural alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy and Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor, aligning O2C technology solutions with business strategy and goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation using emerging technologies such as automation, AI-driven order processing, and data analytics.
- Guide technology decisions to enhance order management and service processes.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, consulting partners, and contractors, ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives and are fit for purpose.
End-to-End Solution Design
- Lead solution design and technology architecture, ensuring compatibility within the SAP ecosystem and with other technology platforms to support seamless order management.
- Design integration architecture with SAP ERP for digital solutions such as SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP CPQ, and other ordering platforms.
- Oversee integration with third-party applications, including CRM, In-House Applications, and Supply Chain technology ecosystems, to enhance end-to-end process efficiency.
- Collaborate with business functions and Data & Tech teams to translate business needs into scalable technology and digital solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions that can enhance customer fulfillment and order management.
Operations
- Perform configuration and implementation of technology solutions, particularly leveraging SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP CPQ.
- Manage real-time system operations, addressing issues to minimize disruptions and maintain business continuity.
Project Leadership
- Lead projects focused on customer technology integrations, rollout of existing digital solutions to new markets, and other customer fulfillment initiatives.
- Ensure integrations and technology upgrades are delivered with minimal impact on operations and maximum value to the business, optimizing O2C workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience
- 10 years of experience in technology roles related to O2C processes.
- Demonstrated experience providing technology advisory services to Marketing, Commercial and/or Customer Service teams, contributing to strategies that improve business outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in Sales and Distribution module.
- Proven track record in leading technology implementations, including customer service and e-commerce integrations, with a strong focus on business stakeholder collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to connect business processes with technology architecture, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and seamless integration across platforms.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in SAP O2C modules, and integration with other 3rd party applications and CRM platforms
- Expertise in defining integrations between external applications and SAP through interfaces/APIs (e.g. Idoc, REST with XML/JSON).
- Ability to assess and implement new technology solutions in support of the company’s objectives and strategy.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong leadership abilities, particularly in influencing and guiding teams and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in SAP Sales and Distribution or SAP Commerce Cloud is a plus.
- Experience leading and mentoring other team members, in both tactical and strategic capacity.
