About Us:

Energy is responsible for the largest carbon emissions in the world (73%). Many corporations set carbon-neutral targets for energy consumption while limited renewable generation is available. Greenwashing is a challenge in the energy sector. Lack of traceability is the main cause of greenwashing.

Spritju is a marketplace for trade of energy certificates (32 BEUR market) enabling our customers with large energy consumption to verify their source of consumed energy.

Role Overview:

As Director of Sales and Business Development at Spritju, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial strategy and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to maximize sales, expand our customer base, and increase market share. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and drive the successful implementation of commercial plans. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving commercial success in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.

  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends, and develop innovative approaches to capitalize on them.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Lead contract negotiations and manage the end-to-end sales process.

  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align commercial strategies with product offerings and marketing campaigns.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market data, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in driving sales, commercial growth, and achieving revenue targets.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and contract negotiation.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a willingness to take calculated risks.

  • Knowledge of energy systems and sustainability.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Previous experience in a startup environment is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of energy markets and sustainability is a plus.

  • Good knowledge of English and other languages.
