Banking Operations Specialist: Back Office & SWIFT (ENG only)

We are looking for a Banking Operations Specialist to join the Back Office team of a reputable financial institution in Basel. In this multifaceted role, you'll support both operational and control processes in collaboration with Front and Back Office units handling complex transactions involving FX, money markets, gold, and derivatives. Process, confirm, and match a variety of financial transactions Resolve exceptions and issues related to transaction processing (FX, money markets, gold, derivatives) Provide operational support to the Central Bank and FX desks Investigate confirmation eaks and settlement failures with internal and external counterparts Ensure accurate and timely confirmations, settlements, and payments Maintain up-to-date settlement instructions and monitor cash reconciliations Handle compensation requests and documentation of operational processes Act as a liaison for specific internal activities and support teams as needed Start asap until Sept 2025 with high possibility of extension 50% home office possibilities after onboarding Experience in a Back or Middle Office role within a financial institution Strong knowledge of financial instruments (FX, money markets, derivatives) Familiarity with SWIFT messaging formats Fluent in English (written and spoken) General interest in IT and new technologies Highly accurate, reliable, and able to multitask under pressure Strong communication skills, proactive mindset, and a team player < >< > If you're ready to join a dynamic and respected institution and ing your operational expertise to a collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you!.
