POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Officer will play an essential role in DaoEG Company by coordinating with sales team, production team, producers and report and also working closely with the women empowerment program (WEP) of Baan Dek Foundation. This position will be under the supervisor for  DaoEG Manager in Bangkok. And Co-supervisor with the Women Empowerment Program Manager in Chiangmai 

The position will collaborate with all DaoEG and BDF Directors and Managers, in addition to the Finance, Partnerships and Programs teams based in Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

Job Title:                       Production Officer

Type of Contract:          Full-time employment position (3 years contract with possibility to extend)

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

PRODUCTION COORDINATION 

Orders fulfillment 

• Coordinate and create product prototypes and mock-up if needed  

• Establish and maintain a list of product samples and descriptions for easy coordination and training 

• Sources and purchase appropriate materials where Price and Quality is align with the best interest of DEG  -Keep track on all external suppliers) 

• Creates or adjusts a comprehensive Cost of Production for each product once needed (both prototypes and orders) and diligently share them with DAO BKK- team and  store them in the COP file for easy reference. (Use the template but keep track on all COP linked to all products) 

• Coordinate and oversees Product Training if needed.

• Outreach producers and coordinate producers workload (Make sure to have enough producers, coordinated with WEP primary producers work distribution and complete with secondary if needed) 

• Coordinates and ensure rigorous quality control measures throughout the production stages

• Coordinate orders packing process 

• Coordinate the shipping process (National and international ) to meet client expectations. (Establish and maintain a clear Database of Distribution companies aligned with Time and Budget expectations) 

Planning/Producers management and  procurement

• Coordinate administrative and logistical aspects with DAO EG producers, ensuring compliance with DEG's policies, including contracts and payment procedures for both producers and suppliers. Ensure regularly administrative paperwork and payment of producers

• (Keep track on administrative documents needs, but also on work related order : Maintain organized files for DEG producers, ensuring accurate data collection on work/ level/remuneration and  when orders are received.

• Oversee and coordinate producers workload, (including both first-layer and second-layer producers) Establish and Maintain a production plan and clear follow up  and having effective and efficient forecasting in order to coordinate training if necessary 

• Outreach new secondary layers producers if needed in order to grow the skills producers pool.

Supplier/ Stock and Inventory Management 

• Proactively build a network of reliable fabric suppliers, and explore opportunities for identifying upcycled fabrics. (Establish and maintain a comprehensive database for easy reference.) 

• Coordinated and Ensure Inventory management 

• Facilitate product training initiatives for DEG producers, ensuring they are well-equipped and informed to meet quality and production standards.

• Ensures quality checks are integrated into every stage of the production procedure, maintaining a keen eye on the production process from start to finish.

Sewing and handcrafting Training officer  

The production officer assists in identifying training needs and in developing appropriate training programs. 

• Training to fulfill the order for the women that are not in the level of skills - Capacity Building.

• Collaborate with the WEP Team for outsourcing new Secondary Layer producers.

• Collaborate with WEP to Ensure Home-based production thanks to workstation installation and training. 

COORDINATION  BETWEEN DAO ETHICAL GIFTS  AND  BANN DEK FOUNDATION 

• As per the MoU between BDF and DaoEG, this position needs to work closely with the entire BDF team to ensure smooth coordination between the two organizations in achieving the social impact goals related to supporting and empowering marginalized women involved in the project, particularly through BDF’s women empowerment program. The aim is to create a sustainable impact and address other related DaoEG objectives.

COMPLEMENTARY SUPPORT: 

As a member of the DaoEG, the Employee is responsible for:

• Promoting a constructive and productive working environment among the team. Actively supporting information sharing, transparency and dialogue among the staff and with beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders.

• Assisting representation of DaoEG upon request by welcoming and presenting DaoEG activities to visiting partners and sponsors, as well as liaising with external stakeholders when requested.

• Supporting the management team in day-to-day missions and activities. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Language requirements: Fluent in Thai and Good command of written and spoken English.  

Education/ Experience:  

• Studies: Bachelor’s degree in production management, social administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Working knowledge: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, production software, inventory software, production management

• Professional experience in production and project management (min. 1-2 years of experience)

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficiency in using project management tools and software.

• Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.

• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evenings
