Job Description - Deputy Country Manager

This is a unique opportunity to be the key driver in building StashAway’s business in Thailand, changing how consumers experience investing and wealth management. As part of a regional high-growth FinTech scale-up, you will work in a diverse and fast-paced environment, focusing on the responsibilities defined below while also contributing to the overall leadership of the Thai business. The right candidate is a motivated leader with a strategic mindset, strong client management skills, and solid investment knowledge, coupled with emotional intelligence and the desire to understand the inner workings of a leading regional FinTech company.

Responsibilities:

Wealth advisory and Business Development

  • Develop and execute an acquisition strategy that delivers the growth plans for the country’s business.
  • Proactively engage, acquire, and deepen relationships with high-value clients.
  • Deliver impactful content via seminars and webinars to drive acquisition and share of wallet.
  • Provide analysis and insights to shape business strategy and product development to the local and regional teams. 
  • Support the Managing Director in overall PnL management and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong investment and financial planning expertise to effectively guide and ensure the quality of StashAway's investment communications for broader audiences.
  • Develop a solid understanding of StashAway’s investment framework.

 Investment Oversight

  • Develop a solid understanding of StashAway’s investment management processes.
  • Deliver investment monitoring and reporting requirements as prescribed in the operating manual and license conditions. 

Team leadership

  • Be the leader in the local office, invest in the team’s development, and nurture a conducive working culture.
  • Be even-tempered, resilient, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
  • At least 5 years in a client-facing role in private banking, wealth management, asset management, securities company, and bank AND investment management, securities trading, research, or securities analysis functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver impactful presentations and foster genuine client relationships. 
  • Driven, results-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills, coupled with a growth mindset.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be hands-on and actively engage clients to make sound investment decisions.
  • Holding a fund manager license or passing the CFA / CISA exam Level 1 is required.
  • Business-level fluency in both Thai and English.

  • Work-from-anywhere policy: You may request to work remotely for up to eight weeks in another country.

  • You will be given an annual Learning and Development budget to help you continuously learn in your pursuit of your professional and personal development. You may use the budget for resources and tools that may help you perform better at work.
