As they continue to expand their presence in the travel industry, they are looking for an experienced and driven Office and Operations Manager to join their team in Thailand.
The Operations Manager will report to the Group CEO overseas and will be responsible for the management of local operations, fostering partnerships, and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Thai office. The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the local team of 40 people (Expats and Thai Nationals)
- Establish and execute business strategies and action plans to meet business requirements and KPIs.
- Monitor and ensure the operation reaches a high standard and aligns with company strategy and regulation.
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with key tourism suppliers such as hotels, transportation services, attractions, and more.
- Drive negotiations and finalize deals to secure favorable terms and boost profitability.
- Design and oversee tourism packages for travel agencies worldwide.
- Handle the procurement of tourism-related activities.
- Oversee the logistical operations of the office, including HR and administrative duties.
- Work closely with international teams.
- Coordinate with other management departments to ensure the targets and budgets are being adhered to.
- Perform commercial analysis and generate reports.
- Utilize feedback to make improvements in the company and services.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to degree level in Business Administration, Management, or related subject.
- 7+ years of experience in outbound tourism sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial position. Preferably within a multinational organization.
- Direct management experience in tourism industry in Thailand.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in spoken / written English and Thai are required.
- Prior experience in leading a team.
- High cultural sensitivity with the ability to work with diverse, global markets.
- Customer-oriented, flexible, and able to thrive under pressure.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Excellent strategic planning and execution and financial management and analysis.
