Technical business analysts study and redesign systems, applications, and processes in order to provide expert analysis on business systems and applications. Responsible to champion BA practices, providing business analysis, process, data, systems, integration and test expertise. This role will involve collating, shaping and defining business requirements and you will need technical understanding to develop these requirements through analysis into deliverable and appropriate IT solutions.
Modelling business data structures and integrations, assessing and documenting current and future practices/processes and data flows.
Identify stakeholder requirements and develop requirements specifications, evaluate customer proposals and assist and advise their business analysis, option definition and impact analysis.
Working as a IT Business Analyst on technical projects and with proven experience of documenting technical aspects of a project using agile/waterfall.
Experience managing full business analysis life cycle, including gathering user stories and requirements, performing research of business systems, design, configuration, and outcome testing. Facilitating the review and approval of requirements from all stakeholders
Facilitating and participation in design discussion and workshops
Ability to participate in key operational improvement such as performance measurement, quality assurance, client reporting and process/technology enhancement planning.
Provide the process and leadership around defining and delivering business requirements
Perform gap analysis on technology solutions, process and organization/resources
Create supplemental business requirements documents such as Use Cases, workflow diagrams, traceability matrices, dataflow diagrams
Assists with analysis, creation and validation of detailed functional specifications
Work with developers, database administrators, and network/security engineers on the development process ensuring business requirements are understood and delivered
Assists with creation of elements of systems design including data models, data migration rules, business rules, and other deliverables associated with the software development life cycle
Builds and maintains the requirements traceability matrix
Assist and develop system and UAT test plans
Prepares production validation plans and leads production validation efforts
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Business Analyst with 3-5 years' experience within Insurance Business (Life Insurance is advantage)
5+ years of experience in application development projects
5+ years of experience in project delivery & Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC)
Extensive knowledge of Digital, emerging and disruptive technology applications
Experience with e-business, digital and partner integration programs
Experienced to engage with and influence Business Representatives of all levels
Proficient in English, spoken and written
