Architectual Engineer/Drafter

Job Description:

DrBalcony is seeking a skilled Architectural Engineer/Drafter to join our dynamic team. This role combines the responsibilities of both an architect and a drafter, where you will utilize your design expertise and technical drafting skills to create innovative balcony structures and improve the overall design process. You will play a crucial role in transforming architectural concepts into detailed plans and documentation that meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting and Design:
• Develop detailed architectural and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Create plans, elevations, sections, and other technical drawings as required.
• Ensure drawings are precise, clear, and aligned with project specifications.
2. Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to understand design requirements.
3. Code and Regulation Compliance:
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on industry standards and changes in regulations.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project progress.
• Prepare supporting documents such as material specifications and design reports.
5. Technical Support:
• Provide technical guidance during the design and construction phases.
• Assist with troubleshooting design issues and proposing solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of building systems, structural elements, and materials.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
