In order to keep up with the demands of the organisation, we require an enthusiastic and dedicated Financial Accountant to ensure the sound maintenance and production of accounting information and processes for the MENA businesses in the Cundall group; and provide guidance and support to local management in the MENA region in relation to Finance and Accounting matters.
Working alongside other professional staff and reporting to the Financial Controller, with line reporting to the MENA office Directors, you will assume responsibility for the monthly management accounting for several Cundall entities.
You will also take a lead in cash-flow management and forecasting for the MENA businesses, undertaking variance analysis in relation to agreed budgets throughout the year and provide to the Financial Controller reports and commentary on exceptions and recommendations as required to action. You will be responsible for maintaining the analysis of the general ledger, calculating bill rate schedules and overhead pool rates for the MENA entities, participating in the management of the completion of all required budget, year-end and audit related tasks, for those entities for which you have responsibility.
You will be a crucial point of contact for staff and will therefore build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. You will also harness your excellent organisational skills to ensure the effective meeting of both internal and external deadlines, working closely with other members of the finance team where required.
A fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA), you have gained strong practical experience, some of which ideally from within a private practice accountancy firm. You will possess strong technical accounting skills, and a track record in maintaining internal controls, working with integrated management information systems, and preferably have exposure to finance and accountancy issues in an international business environment.
You will be highly numerate, have proven time management skills, and excellent customer service standards, dealing professionally, confidently and effectively with internal staff and external contacts and advisers across international borders.
Experience of working in or with professional partnerships is desirable, as is experience of working in an international business, including (ideally) experience in Dubai, Qatar and/or KSA.
An Arabic speaker would be desirable, although not essential.
