Cost Controller

Job Responsibilities:

• The Cost Controller should liaise closely with the Food & Beverage department on various operational and cost related issues.
• To perform test checking on the receiving of goods at the hotel, to see that the procedures are followed correctly.
• Should perform random test counts in the Stores.
• Daily Flash Report of food costs to be prepared.
• To attend major banquet events with open bar.
• Prepare P&L statement of major banqueting events.
• Prepare banquet revenue breakdown summary.
• Verify daily outlet void control sheets.
• Verify outlet open item report to see that correct pricing has been applied, and take necessary action in input the recurring items in the POS system.

Capabilities:

• Accounting designation or enrolment in a recognized Accounting Program.
• Previous hotel accounting experience (Minimum 3 years preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Familiarity with Financials System, Sun, Jana, Reporting System, Micros POS and Excel
• Must be willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork.
• Must be self-motivated and possess a high degree of analytical ability and confidentiality, and work in a safe, prudent and organized matter.
